My Great Birthday Party
The best day of the year is May 1st. That is my birthday. I look forward to it every year. However, out of all of the birthday parties I’ve had, none of them top my party last year. It was me, Nathan Navejas, Jeremy Moreno, Keagin Irish, and Jessy Cardenas. We Went to the escape rooms in Twin Falls, Idaho. We did an easy difficulty. It was funny because when the guy at the escape rooms was telling us the rules, Keagin was already looking for clues. And for some reason he didn't say anything. We all told him to stop doing that before we get in trouble. We had an hour to escape from the escape room. The first puzzle was to open a box with two locks on it. They were pretty easy to unlock. There was a little desk with a three-digit code which helped open the first clue. The second clue was on an old type righter with numbers in the sentences. I then took the numbers and put them in order and it got the second lock off. It gave us a key in that box along with a bunch of old shoes. I don’t know why there was a bunch of shoes.
That key opened a wine rack. It had a bunch of books, some decorations, and a big fake book with something in it. When we got it open, it was a key. That key opened a closet door. The closet had a bunch of rain coats. In one of the pockets was a business card with a phone number, and in the wine rack was an old telephone, so we called the number.
When we called the number, it answered with “We are out of business”.
What was supposed to happen was the door in the closet was supposed to make a loud click, but no one heard it. Jeremy was messing with the suits, and then saw a little crack and told Jessy that he thought there was another room, so they pulled back the door and there was another room. They put a karate dummy in the way to scare us. It made all of us scream and jump back onto a chair. By the time we found the door, we had five minutes left, so we knew we didn't have enough time. We waited for it to end.
After that, we went home and camped in my back yard. We had smores and hot dogs. At around 10:30, we got in the tent and played PS4 because we ran a power cord outside. At one point, me and Jessy started throwing loose change and Easter egg candies at each other. I even threw a sucker at Jessy, and Jessy moved out of the way, so it hit Jeremy’s TV. Luckily, it didn't break. When we woke up, all the chocolate candies where flattened because of how hard we were throwing them. Keagin fell asleep listing to music. Jessy fell asleep because of how tired he was from throwing loose change at each other. Nathan fell asleep watching Bob Ross, and Jeremy fell asleep watching me play video games. I stayed up playing a video game called Need for Speed Payback.
I am looking forward to this year. We are doing the same thing but doing a harder one that’s a level nine out of ten. The last one was six out of ten. And there will be new people going and we are more prepared so we know what to suspect. We know to bring multiple tents to stay warmer and we are going to put the tents around the fire. I want to see if this year will be better than the last.
